SedDB Current Data Holdings

July 29,2010--New Data Load. SedDB data holdings: 381,850 individual values from 63,545 samples, 7,223 cores and 359 references.
July 23,2010--New Data Load. SedDB data holdings: 356,075 individual values from 56,455 samples, 6,340 cores and 309 references. 
 SedDB is being built collaboratively by researchers and information technologists at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University, Oregon State University, Boston University, and Boise State University,  and is funded by a grant from the US National Science Foundation. The construction of SedDB benefits extensively from the natural synergies that exist with various cyberinfrastructure projects that the PIs and technical personnel are currently involved with, among them PetDB, EarthChem, SESAR, Paleostrat, MGDS, and from working closely with other data management and geoinformatics efforts such as NGDC,  Pangaea and the Janus database thereby contributing to the establishment of a broad network of data resources.
